The Feed Feature - Women's Retreat 2017

Hello Lovely Ladies!

How does a weekend away sound? Our annual Women’s Retreat is November 3-5 at Camp Buckner, and you are invited! The retreat team is creating a weekend just for you – where you will have the space to rest, chat, learn, worship and relax.

This year’s theme is FREEDOM. Paul reminds us and challenges us in Galatians 5:1 when he writes, “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.” Paul knew how the things we are enslaved to lead to insecurity rather than the intimacy that God desires to have with us.

During the retreat, we will look at our identity as sons/daughters adopted into the family of God to be co-heirs with Christ and the security that is found by embracing our belonging to Him. We’ll hear God’s truth about Freedom from our speaker, Kim Gardiner – a lady who loves Jesus and is passionate about God’s word. There will be time to catch up with friends and make new friends, as well. We’ve built in free time for you to relax, and back by popular demand, we are offering optional massages, so register early to reserve your spot!

Ladies, I know how challenging it can be to carve out a weekend just for yourself. From my own experience, it is so worth the effort of making preparations to get away – once at the retreat, I realize just how much I need it! Whatever season of life you are in, I believe we all need time to get away to a quiet place and recharge. I so hope you will join us this year!  And if this will be your first retreat with us . . . YAY!  We have a special community of women at HCBC Pflugerville, and this weekend is a great opportunity to connect with each other.

Please register by Wednesday, October 18 to guarantee you get one of our beautiful retreat shirts in your requested size and so you get the best chance for locking in your requested room type/accommodations.

You can get all the details on the website and registration page.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me or Cassie Newberry.  I hope you will join us!
