A Holy Habit is a spiritual practice, discipline, or rhythm a believer embraces to help him/her meaningfully connect with the life of God. They are mere means to an end—the end being enjoyable, obedient fellowship with God and the experience of a healthy soul.
To form one of these holy habits, prayerfully work through the following:
1. Choose a desired holy habit.
Consult the list and descriptions of holy habits.
What do you think would be most helpful for you? Why?
Remembering holy habits are merely a means to an end, what spiritual end are you seeking?
2. View training if necessary.
Find helpful tips and resources by clicking on any discipline.
Work through any training exercises as needed.
3. Form a plan.
What are you going to do?
When are you going to do it?
Where are you going to do it?
How are you going to do it?
4. Share your plan.
Share your plan with your spouse if married.
Share your plan with your REALife Group.
Share your plan with a life-changing relationship.*
5. Anticipate attack.
What resistance do you think you will have to overcome? How can you prepare?
What strategy do you think Satan will employ to discourage or distract you? What will you do?
6. Work your plan for 30 days.
7. Evaluate the habit’s helpfulness after 30 days.
